Delivering Holistic Health and Wellbeing Across Laynhapuy Homelands
Laynha Health provide wholistic, culturally safe health and wellbeing services that support Yolŋu people to live healthy, connected lives in homelands. Working alongside community members, health providers and partner organisations, we enable access to essential services while supporting efforts to achieve Closing the Gap outcomes.
We have eight clinics located in Bäniyala, Gäṉgaṉ, Garrthalala, Dhälinybuy, Dhuruputjpi, Gurrumuru, Rurrangala and Waṉḏawuy. Through daily outreach by road and air, we provide health services to more than 15 homelands across the region. Our nurses regularly travel to and stay overnight in homelands to ensure communities receive the care and support they need.
Our approach recognises that good health extends beyond medical care. We work to address the social determinants of health including; housing, education, employment, nutrition, culture, connection to Country and community wellbeing – to create stronger and healthier homelands for future generations.
