Purchase and placement of new generator into Homeland
Thankfully funding was already in place as the failure of this system required hire plant to be put in place whilst the new system was commissioned. Gan Gan is a large Homeland of some 100 to 120 Members. The system that was in place was not only aged and BER but the output was not sufficient for the Homelands needs. The new system consumes less diesel fuel and is more efficient to the Homeland needs, unfortunately we were hoping to refurbish the old generator for use elsewhere but this became uneconomical upon it’s timely failing.
GIHS has a great staff that work well together thereby keeping installation cost to the minimum and minimal disruption to the Homeland Members at time of upgrade.
